A fan-made map of Texas anime conventions

ConAtlas TX exists because finding out which cons are happening, when, and whether the dates are real meant checking a dozen sites and a few group chats. We wanted one calm page that just tells you.

Texas only, on purpose

Keeping to one state means a small group of fans can actually visit every organizer's site and keep the list current. North, East, Central, Gulf Coast, South and West Texas are all covered.

What counts as an anime convention

A ticketed or free public event in Texas whose main programming is anime, manga or closely related fandom: artist alleys, cosplay, panels, screenings. General comic cons are listed only when the organizer describes them as an anime convention. Store meetups and private club nights are not.

How we verify dates

Every listing is checked against the organizer's own website and recorded in a public, version-controlled data file. A maintainer reviews every change before it's published. Each listing shows the date it was last checked and quotes the organizer's own words for every fact.

When we can't confirm something we say so. Unannounced dates are labelled "Dates not announced" and never placed on a guessed weekend. The full rules are in our data policy.

Why you can trust it

Because you can see the source of every date, when it was checked, and the full change history in the open repository. If something's wrong, anyone can point it out and the fix is public too.

How to contribute

Suggest a missing con or report a correction on the Contribute page, with a link to the organizer's own page. Code and data live on GitHub under open licenses.

Open source and data license

The website code is MIT licensed. The convention data files are released under CC BY 4.0: reuse them, with attribution to ConAtlas TX. Convention names and marks belong to their organizers; we list them, we don't represent them.

Privacy

No accounts, no tracking scripts, no cookies, and no requests to other sites: fonts are served from here. The only things stored are your light or dark mode choice and your saved list, both kept in your own browser. If we add analytics later it will be aggregate-only and documented here first.

Accessibility

We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard access everywhere, visible focus, status shown with words and icons rather than color alone, and a list view that works without the calendar grid. Every date and venue is plain HTML, so the site works without JavaScript. If something gets in your way, please tell us.
